(…) Un disco a pieno titolo tra le opere cosiddette “impegnate”, in cui il potere evocativo della musica è strumento di riflessione su una contemporaneità evoluta quanto contraddittoria, dove la discriminazione di genere e di razza sono ancora radicate. E’ su questi temi che i quattro musicisti riflettono nelle otto tracce. Si nota una concezione multi-tematica della composizione, in cui episodi strutturati si alternano a spazi free in un crescendo espressivo dal respiro molto ampio. (…) Un disco di grande freschezza, in cui la tradizione del jazz e l’idioma bebop sono evocati con la naturalezza del dato acquisito, e dove l’esperienza del free si integra con le musiche del mediterraneo.
